There are two types of garden swings –
those that hang free and garden swings that hang from an A-Frame. Swings
with A-frames can have a canopy for garden shade.
Free hanging garden swings are made from wood and also
from maintenance free recycled materials.
Polywood and other recycled poly-lumber garden swings come in a
variety of colors. Earth tone
garden swings blend nicely into a garden scene; white
garden swings can be used to make a bold garden statement,
A-frame
garden swings are popular when there is no other way to securely
support the swing. Wood
types used in garden swings and A-frames include pressure-treated pine,
cedar (red and white) and cypress (natural and painted).
