general, everything that can be assembled is assembled - so long as
benches still fit into a flat box. Here’s

It’s fairly typical, showing an assembled seat and back that
are affixed to arms and legs.
Assembling garden benches requires simple
tools; hardware
and instructions are included. Putting
garden benches together can be easier with two people, but that's only because
it’s handy to have someone hold while you tighten the assembly.
We often assemble garden benches alone by propping
benches up against a wall or a tree in the garden.
