          Redwood Maintenance

You can leave your Redwood furniture out in the harsh weather ... Forever!  It doesn't affect the manufacturer's warranty.  Without maintenance, your furniture will eventually turn soft-gray in color.

To maintain as new, you can re-apply the same sealant applied to your furniture prior to shipping.  Read about Miracle Cover here.

Cleaning your Redwood furniture is easiest with a power washer.  When washing, make sure not to get too close to the surface as you can cut into the grain of the wood.

Fixing small Checks and Cracks:
Larger sections of unprotected  wood may develop surface and/or end cracks caused by expansion and contraction during changes of temperature and moisture.  Such checks do not compromise the integrity or longevity of the furniture. Lightly sand the spot by hand for a few seconds to smooth out the rough edge (use 80 to 100 grit sandpaper).  For larger cracks you can use a two-part epoxy which dries to a clear finish (consult your local hardware store).
